Description
HOTSTART in-block engine heater, part DD8L-101, DD8L-102. Installs directly into a core (freeze) plug, threaded plug or plate opening in the engine block to heat the coolant for faster cold starts, reduced engine wear and lower start-up emissions. Supplied complete with a 2-wire w/ground 6 ft (1.8 m) HPN cord and plug.

Installation / fitment: Replaces / threads into the 3/4″ (0.75″) NPT plug/opening in engine block. Caterpillar 3176: right side of engine just below the head. 3304/3306: left side of engine. Hino: heat shield required (YES). Mack V8: use two heaters, one on each side of engine block.
