Description
HOTSTART in-block engine heater, part AC-101, AC-102. Installs directly into a core (freeze) plug, threaded plug or plate opening in the engine block to heat the coolant for faster cold starts, reduced engine wear and lower start-up emissions. Supplied complete with a 2-wire w/ground 6 ft (1.8 m) HPN cord and plug.

Installation / fitment: Allis Chalmers: Replaces 1″ thread-in plug on the oil cooler at rear of the engine on right side. Not all engines have this opening. Caterpillar: Replaces 1″ threaded plug in the rear of the oil cooler bonnet on right side of engine. Detroit Diesel Series 50/60: Mounts in the 1″ NPT opening in either water pick up pipe (up to 1991) or in the 1″ NPT opening on the oil cooler housing after 1991. Heat shield required Yes on 1991 and later. Detroit Diesel 6V71 & 8V71: Threads into 1″ NPT plug in the front face of engine block. John Deere 6105/6125: 1″ NPT opening in the oil cooler casting. Navistar V800: Threads into a 1″ NPT opening in the oil cooler bonnet.
