Mobile Energy Storage
Built for Fast Deployment and Real-World Jobsite Conditions
Mobile energy storage is built for fast deployment and real-world jobsite conditions. A mobile BESS captures energy from available sources—generator, solar PV, or mains supply—then redistributes that energy when demand rises, when noise restrictions apply, or when you want to avoid running a generator at light load. This approach can significantly reduce generator run-hours, improve efficiency, and support quieter operation for crews and nearby residents.
For most applications, mobile storage can operate in two core modes:
- Battery-only (silent power): ideal for night works, events, and noise-sensitive locations.
- Hybrid (battery + generator): the battery handles low-to-medium loads and transient peaks; the generator starts only when required, then recharges the battery and returns to standby.
Mobile systems are typically offered in compact enclosed formats and scalable ranges (e.g., multiple size options), making them suitable for construction sites, live events, emergency backup, and off-grid work. For larger temporary or semi-permanent needs, containerised mobile BESS platforms provide a structured, scalable approach that supports backup power, grid stability and resilient microgrids, with remote monitoring and modern operator interfaces.
Key benefits:
- Reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions compared with generator-only setups
- Silent operation when running from battery (great for restricted hours)
- Improved generator efficiency (fewer light-load hours)
- Scalable options from compact mobile units to containerised mobile systems
- Remote visibility and fleet management (model dependent)
Ozwide BESS Simulator
The BESS Hybrid Simulator lets you model a Battery Energy Storage System together with a generator and optional solar PV. You enter your load profile (power demand over time), choose Off-Grid or On-Grid mode, and select generator and BESS models. One click runs the simulation and shows fuel savings, run hours, costs, and CO₂ impact compared with generator-only or grid-only. Use it to compare scenarios and size hybrid or BESS solutions before you buy.
